The latter, Airport Industrial Business Park, will soon be home to a hot-dip galvanizing plant as well as a meat packaging plant.
Meanwhile, development of The Village - a health and wellness centre on the campus of Canadore College - proved to be a major success in the area, providing new healthcare resources for the entire community. A holistic and community-centred resource for everyone, and designed to improve the health care model from the early years to the golden years, The Village is a new staple of North Bay.

One of the anticipated developments is a sustainable food development site, which will house "grow pods" provided by EnerDynamic Hybrid Technologies Corp. These off-the-grid hydroponic pods leave zero carbon footprint and do not contribute to fertilizer in waterways or soil contamination, making them not only sustainable, but ideal for use in fragile areas of the province. Innovation Park is conveniently located between Canadore College and Nipissing University to the west, and Highway 11 North to the east. This location provides the perfect opportunity for industrial-suited businesses to thrive!
